CCAMR Mission
Champaign Community Advocacy and Mentoring Resources is dedicated to providing advocacy and supports that will contribute to improving the quality of lives and facilitating the independence of people with disabilities.
About CCAMR
CCAMR is a private, non-profit corporation. For over 30 years they have operated a
group home in Champaign for adults with developmental disabilities. In May
of 2010 the organization was in the position of being unable to continue to
run the group home. The operation of the home was transferred, and the house was sold to another agency. The residents still live in their home with many of the same staff.
With the money from the sale of the home, and any new money raised, CCAMR is now offering mini-grants to individuals with intellectual disabilities who live in Champaign County.
The CCAMR board of directors is comprised of community members who support the mission and have made a commitment to improve opportunities for individuals with disabilities in this community.
